Sushila is a very talented artist who comes from a family of teachers and fellow artists. She holds a BA in Fine Arts with a focus in Cultural Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz and did her post-graduate work at Tufts University as well as the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She was selected to be a resident artist at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and is currently a freelance TV editor.
Sushila believes that every person deserves to learn about the world and him or herself through exposure to the arts and that the pursuit of one’s understanding in culture through an artistic scope can only benefit an individual’s perception of the world. She feels that art and literature help make sense of a chaotic world and allow people to experiment in ways that can guide and challenge accepted perspectives.
