By: Derrik Mith

I am made of dollars and cents, and without them I am nothing. But the most important things to me in life are my family and education.

I am someone who is hard-working and I earn what I make. I do what I can and try what I can’t. I believe in my momma and in God. I want to be the greatest brother, uncle, and friend, or even a father.

I want to be someone who has a major comeback from a minor setback. I want to be remembered not for what I did to get in jail but try my hardest to get an education and help the community.

To be human means to care for each other. And to love one another.

I wish it could be easier for people to make it. The kind shall be rewarded and the rude shall not.
