Nightmares
By: Yosselyn, a survivor

Mommy got addicted
To drugs
She sold me
For drugs
I was scared to go with a man I didn’t know.
I lost my childhood
Mommy hit me.
I got a bruised black eye.
Every night crying
I wish I could be dead
I was in a room screaming for help
People calling me names
I couldn’t stop crying
But now I am in a place where my childhood
Came back
In a foster home where I can be loved
I realized that I am strong
To forget people that hurt me
In my past.
